Ukraine is an Eastern European state washed from its South with the Black and Azov seas. Length from West to East - 1316 km, from North to South - 893 km, of borders - 6500 km.

Extreme border locations Northern - Petrivka village (Chernihiv oblast); Southern - Cape Sarych (Autonomous Republic of Crimea); Western - Chop city (Zakarpattya oblast); Eastern - Chervona Zirka village (Luhansk oblast).

Ukraine's neighbouring countries: Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Belarus.

Highest mountain peaks: Ukrainian Carpathians - Hoverla (2061 m), Brebeneskul (2032 m), Petros (2020 m), Hutyn Tomnatyk (2016 m), Rebra (2010 m), Pip Ivan (1936 m).
